In high school, we were introduced to simultaneous equations during our Maths lesson. We used three formulas to solve simultaneous equations: Substitution method, elimination method and graphical method.
Out of the three methods, I would like to recommend elimination method to help Coalition for reforms and Democracy, Cord to solve its 2017 flag bearer puzzle.
Elimination method involves scrutinising the available options and eliminating the good, then the better and finally you are left with the best.
Those tasked with picking the coalition's flag bearer would brush fewer shoulders if they use elimination method.
While scrutinising the available options, that is ODM's Raila Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula, they should look at such parameters as the popularity, integrity, vigour, and influence of an individual.
If politics is about numbers, who will bring in more people? They can table these data and use it to eliminate the least likely until they remain with the best.
