Budalang'i MP Ababu Namwamba has vowed to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election bid during the next general elections.
Speaking on Monday when he appeared on Citizen TV for an interview, the Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) leader explained that the head of state had addressed a lot of concerns and challenges that face his constituents; including the construction of a bridge that crosses River Nzoia.
"I can now confidently walk in Budalang'i and tell my constituents that Uhuru has listened to their concerns and addressed them," the Star quoted the former ODM Party Secretary General.
"We are witnesses to the President’s services and demeanor…he came to Budalang'i and condoled with the families of those who died after a boat capsized and promised the bridge which he has delivered," he added.
Namwamba was a fierce critic of the Jubilee administration during its early days in office.
He fell out with his former Party boss Raila Odinga, leading to his exit from the Orange Party.
His LPK Party has since resolved to back President Kenyatta's re-election.
