This win was a show of confidence the voters had in Nyagarama, a confidence that has waned within the short period he has held office as the county boss.

There are a number of factors that will make Nyagarama lose his seat in the next general election, corruption being at the top.

Last year, Nyamira County hit the headlines when it emerged that the county government had renovated the Nyamira Level Four Hospital gate at a cost of Sh8 million and a toilet  at Sh3.5 million.

The county government was not in a position to provide a reliable answer on why this impossible thing happened.

In another incident, the county government started a youth project called 'Bob no Swag', to help the youth to save the little money they have,  but all their year's savings is said to have disappeared. No county government official wants to be held accountable.

The governor has also been accused of neglecting areas where he garnered most votes in the 2013 elections, among them Kitutu Masaba constituency.

Area member of Parliament Timothy Bosire, was recently heard telling Nyagarama in public to forget about the votes from the constituency. This way, he brainwashed his subjects to underscore the governor.

If the counties were to be ranked in terms of development, Nyamira could come in last.

Nyagarama, as a subject if his own mistakes, cannot be elected again as the Nyamira governor.
