Judge George Odunga is expected to report to his new station in Machakos County today, Wednesday.
The transfer of the High Court Judge marks the end of his rocky tenure at the Nairobi Judicial Review Division.
Odunga has been under endless criticism in his old station where he has handled high profile cases including the deportation of Self Proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) Miguna Miguna, who is currently in Canada.
Odunga also handled other cases challenging the constitutionality of the executive during his tenure in the Nation’s capital, which made him one of the most visible Judges in the country.
A section of leaders allied to Jubilee has been accusing him of biasedness over landmark rulings in different cases since he took over the office.
He will be remembered for handling a case that sought to challenge the constitutionality of the raft of security laws while at the Milimani law court.
He also summoned and sentenced high profile personalities in the nation including inspector of Police Joseph Boinett, Interior Cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i among others during his tenure at the office.
He will be swapping positions with Justice Pauline Nyamweya who will be taking the hot seat in Nairobi.
