Nakuru County Governor Lee Kinyanjui has expressed disappointment, following messages being shared by politicians, during campaigns, ahead of fresh presidential election.

The Jubilee Party leader shared a message, saying he is afraid of watching local television stations, over frequebt attacks by politicians, to their fellow leaders.

Below is Kinyanjui's message, Tuesday.

"Difficult Days ahead for Kenya

In recent days, watching local television has become very agonizing and traumatic for me.I'm always left more worried than before, and for that reason, I'm on BBC.

I have seen leaders incite their followers to violence and being cheered for it.

I have seen elected leaders use derogatory words on The Head Of State and Commander In Chief, and members of his party consider that bravery.

I have seen leaders seek for a repeat election only to threaten snubbing it, and call that democracy.I have seen leaders driving us to constitutional gridlock and they still call it democracy.

I have watched keenly and realised the political direction we have taken, is a complete mirror image of the 2008 election.Unfortunately, we shall have no excuse for not understanding the consequences of our action.

We walked that road in the past and left deep scars on our national conscience. They have barely healed.

I plead with all leaders from across the country and parties, Do not take us to 2008.Unless our leaders, and in particular the opposition, realise the mess they are creating, we have difficult days ahead."
