Former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga has asked all Kenyans to watch an Indian movie GABBAR IS BACK. According to Mutunga, this movie has a lot to teach Kenyans as far as the fight against corruption is concerned.
The movie, which was released in 2015, revolves around one Gabbar, who is considered a superhero. It took courage and goodwill for Gabbar to fight corruption in his country.
"To all Kenyans who love to see a change in our country, particularly the end of CORRUPTION, WATCH an Indian movie GABBAR IS BACK. GABBAR is the Indian equivalent of our beloved GADO’s WANJIKU. The lucky ones watch it on NETFLIX," Mutunga stated.
Corruption has been a subject of concern in Kenya. The country’s economy has stagnated for years because of the vice. Several public servants have been arraigned in court over the same.
However, the efforts of different governments to fight the vice have not yielded the desired fruits. The nation has witnessed endless scandals. Billions of money have disappeared unaccounted for through fraudulent deals. Mutunga feels through this movie, Kenyans will learn different things and ways to end the vice that has taken over the nation for decades.
