At least 85 percent of students who were expected to join form one in various secondary schools in Uasin Gishu county have reported to the schools they were admitted to.County director of Education Nicodemus Anyang' says 15,000 of the students have so far reported to the schools for the form one admissions. It was expected that schools in Uasin Gishu would admit about 17,000 students.Speaking in Eldoret town on Thursday, Anyang' expressed optimism that by the end of this term, more students would have joined form one in the county."We are still admitting pupils until we realize 100 percent transition. I therefore urge parents who have not presented their children for admission to do so," Anyang' said.He further warned parents against denying their children a chance to proceed to another level of education.Concerning the new education curriculum, Anyang' said it would soon be rolled out in the county."Teachers have been trained on the same but the only challenges we are facing is the distribution of new curriculum materials," he said.
