[Photo|Eddy Illah]Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o, met with NASA supporters who thronged a town hall meeting in Minneapolis, United States, Wednesday. During the meeting, Nyong'o called on all Kenyans of good will to defend and protect the Constitution which he said was under attack by the Jubilee government."We are not here by chance. We’ve fought as Kenyans to ensure the rule of law is respected. Unfortunately the Jubilee government is trying to take us back to the dark days,” he said.
He urged Kenyans in diaspora and all friends of goodwill to work together and ensure the gains already made in the democratic struggle were not undone."It is pathetic to see officers who are supposed to protect Kenyans unleash terror on innocent university students who were in their classrooms and hostels of residence being brutalized," said the ODM, NASA governor, citing police brutality meted on University of Nairobi students and NASA anti-IEBC protesters last week.He urged the diaspora to adopt many polling stations or fly to Kenya and volunteer as poll agents.
