NASA principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula, on Monday held a meeting to discuss issues of the coalition, specifically after a surprise meeting between Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Odinga did not consult his three colleagues prior to the meeting, something that has since raised confusion in the coalition.During the summit, Mudavadi read a joint press statement, saying "The NASA summit registers its appreciation of the opening of doors for constructive dialogue as initiated by H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta and H.E. Raila Odinga."
For the avoidance of doubt, Mudavadi, Kalonzo and Wetangula said: "let it be known that we encourage constructive/ structured dialogue to address the causes of our national problems. These include: Electoral injustice, insecurity, challenges to devolution, inclusivity, poverty and the attack on the independence of judiciary."
Mudavadi said the leaders agreed that each one of them agreed to go hold a meeting with their respective party members about Raila's meeting with Uhuru, and revert for a clear deliberations and the way forward.
The four met in Athi River, Machakos County.
