Devolution and Planning Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has disclosed that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and the former Coast regional police boss Nelson Marwa, ended the bad blood between them.
Wamalwa, an immediate Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary, made the revelations during the ongoing 5th Annual Devolution Conference at Kakamega High School.
He said leaders should forget their differences and work closely for the benefit of the electorates.
According to him, Joho and Marwa, who is now the Devolution Principal Secretary, shook hands and pledged to work together, just like how former Prime Minister Raila Odinga shook hands with his political nemesis President Uhuru Kenyatta on March 9.
Joho and Marwa locked horns when the former coat regional police boss was still the Mombasa police commissioner and when he served as regional commissioner.
During the conference on Wednesday, leaders called for unity amongst themselves and across the country.
