PNU party chairman Peter Munya could relinquish his seat.The former Meru governor hopes to be appointed to President Uhuru Kenyatta's Cabinet after he withdrew a petition against his opponent current Meru Kiraitu Murungi.Munya said he would likely handover the PNU leadership to someone else if the position he would be given will demand so.“There are a lot of talented people who can take over from me within the party but that will again depend on the docket I will be handling,” Munya said on Saturday.Munya took over the PNU leadership after declining to join Jubilee Party during a time when he was in URP before it merged with TNA and other affiliate outfits to form Jubilee.He at one point opposed Uhuru's re-election but his party leadership dismissed him, saying the party was solemnly behind Kenyatta and his Jubilee Party.
