Detectives from the Cybercrime Unit aresaid to be closing in on a Nairobi AP officer and blogger accused of posting pictures of police suspects and victims said to be killed by police.

The detectives say that an officer serving at the Soweto AP camp in Kayole sends the photos to the blogger.

The duo is said to be behind the Facebook pages named 'Hessy wa Huruma' and 'Hessy wa Kayole', which rose to fame after the recent killing of Claire Mwaniki, the wife of a “notorious” gangster known as Mwaniki, on May 11.

The accounts posted photos of the beautiful girl wanted by police and who was later shot dead.

The crime buster reportedly spoke to the Star on a big range of issues, spanning from reasons of posting the photos of criminals and the reason of creating the account.

“I faced a lot of opposition from my colleagues from the DCI and Regular Police," he said.

"But because I was doing nothing wrong, I decided to continue,” the father of one said.

He revealed he created the pages when there was lots of pressure from senior cops in the city over rising crimes in Kayole.
