Every girl is running after a sponsor who by default usually is their father's age and above.

I call them girls because they don't deserve the title of a lady.

A lady knows the decent means to acquire money while it's only a girl who wouldn't care whatever means they use to get their hair done. But I have no qualms with you nor your sponsor.

However, if you have to settle for a sponsor, he must be someone stinking rich and who doesn't feel the pain of spending on you.

First, if you needed someone to sponsor your education, they usually do not ask for something in return apart from good academic performance. That's exactly what a sponsor should be like.

But now the society have given the name a different meaning.

A sponsor now is supposed to buy you an iPhone 6, pay your bills and take you to clubs in exchange for sexual favours.

And yes, the girls see nothing wrong with that neither do I for it's a personal choice.

What's saddening is seeing a girl saying she has no money to achieve a certain course, some struggle with the ladies to pay their rent and you are left wondering how poor is their sponsor.

If he can't afford to have your hair done, put credit on your phone and pay your bills, what's he for.

Better have a poor boyfriend with whom you can persevere the financial challenges knowing you're headed somewhere than boast of a sponsor who has to divide his money between you and his family.

Obviously, his family gets the bigger share while you get the meager left-overs which he'll use to take you out to a cheap club for a cheap drink but you'll offer him the most expensive thing you got - your body.

At the end of the day, you are still the loser since his family goes on well as usual while your sacred water gets drained every day.

He finally dumps you with an excuse that he is a married man and he has a family to take care of. You never gained money, assets nor dignity.

If he's twice your age, don't waste your time with him but if you really have to, weigh his wallet first.
