The High Court has blocked Inspector General Joseph Boinett from constructing a police station on a property in Narok County.

According to reports, the property is worth Sh100 million and the court has suspended all construction works until the owner of the land can be determined.

During a ruling on Tuesday, Justice Mohammed Kullow issued a directive to Boinett, the Narok OCPD and Attorney-General Githu Muigai to cease all ongoing construction at the site.

This follows a suit filed by Kitalai ole Ntutu against the state over what he claims was an invasion of his land while also denying him access to his property as well.

Through Ntutu's lawyers, Titus Koceyo, a document confirming his clients ownership of the land was submitted in court.

"The OCPD Narok is brandishing state power to encroach, trespass and take possession of the petitioner's land unlawfully and unconstitutionally. They have turned a blind eye in their abuse of power and authority to deprive the petitioner of his property," the lawyer stated.

The case is set to be heard on December 5 , 2017.
