According to reports, a prosecution involving Migori Governor aspirant Ochillo Ayako has been paused by the High Court.

The aspiring gubernatorial aspirant is wanted after an incident involving election violence left voters with injuries during the primary election.

The complaint was filed by Migori Governor Zachary Obado accusing Ayako of electoral malpractices.

Judge William Musyoka who is overseeing the lawsuit stated that the case brought to the court by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision should be stopped.

"The court is hereby pleased to issue an order prohibiting the respondent (IEBC) from carrying further continuation of the proceedings under complaint 13,14 before " ruled the judge as reported by The Star.

According to reports, Ayako has been accused by Governor Zachary Obado of destroying his posters during the campaign and using the parties colors in his own campaigns.

He has also been seen using pictures of Nasa leader Raila Odinga during his campaigns.

However, Ayoka believes that he should be allowed to promote the presidential candidate he deems is best fit for office.
