DPP, Keriako Tobiko had argued that the Sh50,000 bail given to Wanjigi on Tuesday did not match with the offense allegedly committed. He also asked the court to order Wanjigi and his wife Irene Nzisa to deposit their passports in court.Police on Tuesday broke into the businessman’s palatial home in Muthaiga and found guns in the ceiling. The court, however, issued an order preventing the police from arresting him or destroying his property. On Thursday, Mule, in an affidavit, said due to the seriousness of the offence allegedly committed, Wanjigi should be ordered to post substantial securities together with surety.“I see no reason to vary the bail terms since the affidavit has not been responded to, to enable me to make a ruling,” he ruled. However ,the High court extended the orders against the police pending hearing on December 8.
