Residents of Limuru are perturbed by the high turnover of police bosses in the area in the wake of increased insecurity cases.
Area police boss Moses Owiti has been in the sub-county for only a few months but he has already been transferred.
OCPD Owiti came into the area only a few months ago after the early and abrupt retirement of the former police boss, Michael Mbaluku.
Mbaluku was retired after the death of over 11 people in the area who consumed illicit brew at a forest in Limuru.
The government retired him noting that those who died were under his watch since he was in charge of the police in the area.
OCPD Owiti called several of his friends and colleagues in Limuru and told them he has been transferred.
“I have called to thank you for your cooperation as I worked in Limuru and also inform you that I have been transferred to Kilifi,” said OCPD Owiti in a telephone conservation to someone who requested anonymity.
During OCPD Owiti's time in Limuru, more than six people have died after suffering violent attacks as early as 7.30pm in different parts of the constituency.
The constant trail of attacks angered residents who called for improved security in the area or the reshuffling of the police officers.
