On Tuesday evening, most parts of the country were plunged into darkness after what Kenya Power said was a systems failure on their part.
Although many expressed anger over the unplanned power outage, the country did not miss out on the funny stories Kenyans on social media made out of the issue.
"Imagine if the SGR train was electric.Right now some guys would be stuck in the Tsavo with lions cheering," said Dorria Tsonnie on Twitter.
"KPLC is requesting kama una mtungi ya maji uwapelekee wajaze Kidaruma, the faults have been caused by monkeys drinks half the water in the seven dams," said Dr Chiby.
MC Pipita posted a photo of "how KPLC looks at your battery power percentage" and it lit Twitter.

"Kenya Power & Lightning Company should be rebranded to Kenya Paraffin Lamps & Candles Company," posted Mkale Flani.
"I stopped trusting Kenya Power the moment I saw backup power generators in their offices," said Michael Gwei.
"Tomorrow bloggers be like: Six things you didn't know about Last Night's Blackout. The third one will shock you. Kenya Power," posed Paul Osindo.
