Residents of Hill School estate have lamented of increased rate of illicit liquor and drug abuse among the youth in the area.
They claimed most of their children have dropped out of school due to drugs, a move they said has increased rates of crimes and early pregnancy among young girls.
James Maina, a parent at the estate claimed police aide in selling of alcoholic drinks in the area by taking bribes from the suppliers.
''Police are the main cause of distribution of alcoholic drugs across this estate. They have been taking bribes from the suppliers giving them a license to continue supplying . We call upon the county government to intervene so that those responsible can be held in to account," said Maina.
Area assistant chief Cleophas Kiprono said they have launched investigations and called on residents to cooperate with authorities in identifying the dealers.
''I want to assure that we are trying our best to arrest these dealers,'' he said.
Kiprono was speaking, Wednesday in his office at Pioneer estate.
