Clinton won the poll at a mock election in Kogelo, Siaya County. Kogelo is the home village for outgoing US President Barrack Obama.

Residents woke up as early as 6am to cast their votes in two ballot boxes bearing the portraits of Clinton and Trump.

After the mock poll, Clinton triumphed against Trump after garnering 78 percent of the cast votes. Trump managed a paltry 22 percent.

"The elections were free and fair," one of the residents said after the declaration of the results.

"There was no rigging. Clinton has won. She has won fairly. There was no rigging."

There was music and dance after the results were declared as residents chanted pro-Obama slogans.

In 2008 and 2012 US elections, a similar mock poll was conducted as visitors flocked the lakeside village to take part in the exercise.

US citizens will vote on Tuesday in one of the country's tightly contested elections.

President Obama has tirelessly been campaigning for Clinton who, according to polls has higher chances of winning.
