A group of unknown youths have attacked a bus branded with Raila Odinga and Homa Bay gubernatorial aspirant Sammy Wakianga’s portraits at Aros trading centre in Karachuonyo.

Two people were injured during the Monday incident, which saw the allegedly hired goons pelt stones at the bus, destroying its windows.

The victims; Opur Apot, Lilian Achieng’ and Esther Adhiambo were rushed to Homa Bay Referral Hospital for treatment.

Apot had a cut on the head, while the other two had minor bruises.

Homa Bay county police commandant John Omusanga said they had launched investigations into the incident.

The gubernatorial aspirant’s campaign team leader condemned the incident, terming it “unfortunate”.

"It is unfortunate that today we visited Karachuonyo West ward and we have been attacked," said Kevin Ouma as quoted by the Star.

"We want to send a strong warning to politicians who are fond of using youths to cause chaos during campaigns that this time round we (youths) will not accept," he said.
