The dramatic and very public handshake between President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has excited Kenyans.
Images of the two leaders smiling at each other while flashing smiles have been widely shared on social media.
The handshake comes in the wake of newfound amity between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Here is a sample of what Kenyans had to say about the Trump-Kim handshake:
"Wow! This is lovely. They are following the example set by Uhuru and Raila," Juma Omogeni said.
"The handshake is the highest form of human sophistication," Seth Odongo.
"I am going to shake hands with my ex," Kamau Murage said.
"This is the way to go. What we need is peace," Lilian Atieno said.
"Hopefully, the commitments made will be followed through," Evans Wanjala.
