According to the residents, Molo Stadium is the number two Stadium in the county that should be used as an alternative stadium to the county's biggest Afraha Stadium.

"You can see the cracks in the walls and this is how the field looks like. We were promised shades last year but up to now not even a single one has been constructed," lamented one Molo resident.

The stadium which has been the home to a local football club, Molo Allstars FC, is now in a dilapidated state.

The perimeter walls which locals say were constructed three decades ago have developed several cracks.

Other sides of the walls have collapsed as well.

The stadium has now turned out to be a grazing field for cattle and often used for political rallies as opposed to sports activities which befit its purpose.

Locals have now called on the county government to rehabilitate the historical Molo Stadium.

"We are asking the county government to rehabilitate the stadium because this is the only stadium apart from Afraha stadium," said the resident.
