The independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has come under pressure from the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (Cord) to dissolve.
The coalition alleges that the electoral body is planning to rig the 2017 poll in favour of government.
Cord has vowed to hold protests until IEBC chairman Isaac Hassan and his commissioners leave office.
Politicizing the whole issue is however, not the best way to solve the impasse.
Cord and Jubilee should strike a deal to solve the problem peacefully.
Mr Issack Hassan has warned Cord against intimidating IEBC officials.
He maintains Cord should follow due process of the law to reconstitute the IEBC through Parliament.
