Residents of Homa Bay have praised President Uhuru Kenyatta for building a Sh1 billion bridge that connects Mbita town and Rusinga island. After launching the project on Thursday, President Kenyatta said the construction of the bridge proves that the Jubilee Government cares about the interests of the people of Nyanza contrary to claims from the opposition.The state-of-the-art bridge now bring to an end people losing their lives when crossing between the two areas and making it easy for the water to flow freely.
“The bridge will ensure people will not lose their lives when crossing from the other end,” the president said, adding that the project will help remove hyacinth because the water will be flowing.
