A Homa Bay woman who stunned the national after giving birth to five children last week has been thrown to a somber mood after the death of the remaining three children.
Jacinta Akinyi, who hails from Oyugis Sub County, had lost two of the children moments after birth at Matata Nursing Home before the rest were transferred to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.
“I woke up this morning and discovered that the three were no more. However, doctors had tried their best,” she told reporters.
All the five children were weighing 1.5 kilograms instead of 3.5 kilograms for a normal child at birth. The children had been put on incubation as required for proper medical procedures.
“They were well until this morning when we discovered the sad news. I can confirm that we have lost all the beautiful angels,” said KTRH Nursing Manager Florence Ogero.
The 30-year-old, who had given birth to three boys and two girls, will now remain with four of his children who she had given birth successfully earlier.
