Experienced by many women, breast tenderness is a discomfort or pain in the breast or underarm region. It occurs mainly during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy while breastfeeding and after menopause. More so, sleeping positions and diet might cause this condition. Here are ways you can to ease the pain:
Identify the root cause of the pain
Solving any problem will begin with identifying its problem. Whether the problem is from the shoulder or neck, gentle massage would help relieve this pain. Gently massage each breast using warm coconut or olive oil.
Use ice packs
Ice can be used in relieving pain caused by injuries or cysts. This will help numb the nerves reducing the discomfort. Use cotton cloth while applying ice packs on your breasts. Repeat this a few times a day.
Use warm compresses
Warm compresses help in relaxing sore muscles and ease blood circulation. Squeeze a hot towel on your breasts until they are cold. Repeat the process.
Use primrose oil
Primrose oil makes a breastless sensitive to hormonal changes. It contains linoleic acid, which lowers the breasts sensitivity. Apply this oil on your breast before your periods, or when feeling pain.
Check on your bra
Your bra could be the reason you are feeling pain in your breasts. A wrong fitted bra will do more harm than good. Using soft sports and well-padded bras could help reduce this pain.
