With the recent change in life, most people have began taking longer hours at work hence can't have enough sleep during the night. This leads to one feeling of being unwell, both mentally and anxiety, poor immune system function and reduced reaction time.
Here are a number of remedies for treating insomnia:
Milk with honey or Almond: Almond and milk are excellent sources of calcium that helps the brain produce melatonin. Warm milk speaks pleasant and relaxing feeling that induces good sleep. Honey has a sedative effect that gets one to bed more quickly. Add one tablespoon of honey to warm milk for a relaxing pre-sleep drink.
Chamomile. It has long been used as one of the natural remedies for sleep. Place that flowers (only the flowed heads) in a teapot. Boil 4 cups of water in another teapot. Pour the water over the flowers. Keep it for 5-6 minutes and then serve.
Lettuce. Boil one teaspoon of lettuce leaves in 1/2 liter water for 10-15 minutes. Strain and drink this infusion several times a day.
Bananas. They contain typtohan, magnesium and potassium. Have one banana half an hour before going to bed every night. It will relax your muscles and act as a natural sleep supplement.
Onion and garlic. Both are from the allium family and contain more nutrients on their dried peeling. During cooking time place the dry peelings of onion and garlic on a plate to enhance drying. Later in the night, put the peelings in a sufuria, add a jug of water. Heat the mixture for 10-15 minutes, allow to cool then strain.
