Salt water gargle
A salt water gargle is the simplest way of treating toothache. Take a teaspoon of salt and put it in a cup of boiled water. Allow this solution to cool. Swirl it round the mouth for one minute, and then spit it out. The solution will combat the infection and alleviate throat pain. More so, it will cool down swellings and flush away debris leaving your teeth feeling painless.
Raw garlic
Raw garlic can be used in two ways; either chew it a few times daily using the affected tooth or crush it and apply to the affected tooth. Either way, it will combat fungi, bacteria and viruses on the affected tooth. Raw garlic works within few minutes to ease the pain one might be feeling on the affected tooth.
Vanilla extract
Crush a vanilla extract on your hands and apply it on the affected tooth, twice a day. this extract will work in two ways; the scent, which has this soothing property will help fight off anxiety related to the toothache, while the alcohol content in vanilla will act as a numbing agent used to relieve the tooth from its pain. Also this method works within minutes to reduce the pain on your tooth.
Chewing gum and ice
Chewing gum helps in reducing the pain on an affected tooth. Chew a gum on the opposite side of the mouth. Apply the chewed gum on the affected tooth for sometimes. This process helps only helps to reduce the pain as you look for an appropriate way to completely treat it. Alternatively, applying ice on the cheek with the painful tooth will help relieve the pain.
