School heads within Thika Town and its environs have applauded the Minister for Education Fred Matiang’i and his team for an efficient Kenya National examination process devoid of cheating and other malpractices.

Speaking after receiving this year’s KCPE results, parents, teachers and students alike exuding confidence that the integrity of the National examinations has been redeemed and that students will now pursue their education based on personal performance, commitment and merit.

In Thika and Ruiru Sub-Counties respectively students took to the streets to celebrate their performance with those interviewed saying that they are happy with the current trend of the national examinations

At the  New Bambini Academy, head teacher Jane Wanjiru while joining her students celebrate their exemplary performance in this year’s KCPE praised the concerted efforts by all stakeholders in redeeming the image of the National Examination.

“New Bambini School produced the best student in Thika West Sub-county Vrooder Rakesh Patel who attained 441 marks.” Said Wanjiru.

Jubilant 13-year-old Vrooder Patel said that she hoped to join her dream school Alliance Girls high school to pursue her dream of becoming a Neurosurgeon

At the Steppin stone academy, the school head Rosemary Mbugua where over 40 students attained over 400 marks pointed out that the timely release of results will allow parents ample time to prepare their children for the next level of education.
