West Mugirango MP James Gesami has urged the county government of Nyamira to name one of its roads after the GSU Recce officer the late Dennis Momanyi who was killed by a disgruntled officer at the Kapenguria police station over a week ago..
"We want the county government to honour this officer with the due respect and name one of the county roads after him because he fought a great fight to safe our people," said Gesami.
He spoke Friday during Momanyi's burial who was killed along side six other officers at Kapenguria police station.
He also urged the government to be vigilant on security matters mostly against the al Shabaab terror group.
"I condemn the al Shabaab terror group and also I urge the government to be vigilant on security matters, because we don't want to continue losing our people in the hands of territorists," added Gesami.
