Kisii county governor James Ongwae has pledged to create more jobs for youths with eight months to General elections.
Speaking on Monday during Jamhuri day celebrations at Gusii stadium , Ongwae said that his administration has managed to create over 10,000 jobs in a short period and promised to double it if re-elected.
“As a county, we have managed to create more jobs with all the pressure and i am optimistic that we can do more if i get the second term” he said.
Ongwae also urged area leaders to support his government adding that only development politics would help locals to achieve economic growth.
"it is important that we work together as a team. As your governor, i am ready to work with everyone regardless of your political inclination. This is the only way we can make Kisii great," he added..
The ODM governor urged locals to entrust him with another five years to serve them despite fierce opposition from local politicians.
