Hope Media launched Hope TV, in a ceremony held at Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) Valley Road, Nairobi.
The television channel has been airing various Christian programs since 2012, and its official launch was a milestone for Hope Media, which comprises of Hope Fm, Hope Creative and Hope TV.
The event graced by ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru, Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) director general Eng Francis Wangusi and Citam presiding Bishop Dr David Oginde, attracted hundreds of Hope Media audience and friends.
Mucheru hailed Hope Media, for the launch, and further asked them to abide by the broadcasting laws.
Speaking during the event, Hope Media communications manager Kingston Ogango said they had waited for long to put the station on the airwaves, despite strenuous journey.
"We will cintinue providing you with good and educative programs, to help you grow in Christ and build your homes and spiritual lives,'' Ogango said, Sunday.
Bishop Oginde hailed CAK for introducing digital migration, saying many stakeholders monopolised some media stations, through bribery and favoritism.
"I want to thank Eng Wangusi for the digital migration. If it were not for it, I don't think if our dream to have Hope TV would come true. The sector had been monopolised for selfish gains. God works miracles,'' he said.
During the event, Hope Media also launched an android App dubbed: "Hope Media" and an official website.
