Naivasha referral hospital superintendent Dr.Joseph Mburu has appealed to relatives who may have lost dear ones in the ill-fated matatu accident on Mai-Mahiu-Narok road at the weekend to visit the hospital and identify the bodies of their kin for burial.
He said eight victims out of the nine who died in the accident have been identified by the hospital but one body has remained and appealed to relatives to visit the hospital to identify the body.
He also confirmed that all those injured and admitted at the hospital have since been discharged after treatment.
The nine perished when the matatu they were travelling in from Nairobi to Narok rammed the rear of a stationery lorry at Satelite trading center on Mai-Mahiu-Narok road and burst into flames.
The driver of the matatu, who witnesses claimed was drunk at the time of the accident, is still at large after he fled from the accident scene at around midnight on Sunday.
Naivasha OCPD Titus Munyoki, however, said police have mounted a manhunt for the driver.
