[Photo/nation.co.ke]A request by patients at the Naivasha sub-county hospital who had requested to be allowed to go home and join their families for Christmas and New Year festivities was not given an ear by the hospital management.
Joseph Mburu, the medical superintended in charge at the facility said the hospital management could not allow the patients to go their homes due to their medical condition.
Mburu said instead the hospital held a party for the patients on Christmas Day and same will happen on January 1.
“The patients could not leave the facility because they are on medication. We organized a party for them on Christmas day and the same will be done on January 1 to celebrate with them,” he said.
He asked families to the patients to come and join the sick in the hospital.
“There is need to comfort the sick in the hospital. Locals and families with their loved ones at the hospital should visit them at the hospital to celebrate with them so that they don't feel ignored,” he added.
