Kwale County's Gombato Dispensary is on the spot following the death of a woman who was in labour.
Subira Hamisi developed complications last week before she was rushed to the dispensary only to be turned away by a watchman on duty.
Mwanaasha Omar, the mother to the 30-year-old said they pleaded with the watchman to open the gate for them but he declined, forcing them to wait up to 2-hours at the gate.
"My daughter has been visiting the facility for medical check-up. The check-ups showed she would deliver anytime," said the mother who accused the facility's management of negligence.
"What I want is justice for my daughter," Omar said on Monday. She also accuses the watchman of causing her daughter's death and so he should be sacked.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Kwale Woman Representative Zuleikha Hassan Juma called for prompt investigations into the incident, saying action must be taken to those found culpable of causing the pregnant woman's death.
