Members of the County Assembly have agreed to compel the county government to buy special delivery beds for women living with disabilities.
The MCAs said the move will help disabled women delivering in hospitals to get access to quality health care.
Most hospitals across the county had never had facilities supporting people living with disabilities.
People Living With Disabilities representative at the County Assembly Richard Bosire said people living with disabilities had been neglected and it was time to offer them quality service.
Bosire said the county Heath executive would soon procure the beds that will be distributed to all hospitals in the county.
The move sis a bold step aimed at providing quality healthcare to persons living with disabilities.
