The Heritage Group of Hotels CEO Mohammed Hersi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Former KTN investigative journalist Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu over his Nyali Parliamentary bid. This was after Ali on Tuesday tweeted "It’s time to remove power from the power-brokers and give it back to the people of Nyali constituency."Hersi said Moha should think about how he can assist the people of Isiolo instead of contesting in Nyali since he knows little about the residents. “My friend, you don’t belong here. If anything, you are the power broker and Isiolo is calling for you where brethren are marginalised,” Hersi wrote on his Twitter account.Hersi’s tweet did not go well with Ali's supporters and other Kenyans who came out in defense of their candidate. Thirdway Alliance Kenya party leader and presidential aspirant Ekuru Aukota and Medical Council of Kenya’s Victor Bwire told Hersi that the reaction was not necessary."Come on Moha, you just didn’t tell @MohaJichoPevu that? Should we all go back to our villages or where we were born?” Aukot tweeted. Despite the criticism, Hersi insisted that he will not withdraw his words. He argued that Moha does not understand the needs of the people in different areas including Ziwa la Ng’ombe and Maweni.“I am a voter in Nyali and the constituency is just not about Nyali. We have many places that are needy like Maweni, Ziwa la Ngombe etc that require serious attention. He has never shared his manifesto and plan for Nyali,” he added. The hotelier said he will rally residents in a bid to ensure they elect a leader who understands them.
