The association has said it will go to court to force the airline to compensate them for the huge losses incurred during the festive season.

“We might go to court to compel Jambojet to pay for the damages it has caused to the industry at the Coast,” said KAHC executive officer Sam Ikwaye, as quoted by The Star.

The move comes after The Kenya Coast Tourism Association Chairman Mohammed Hersi faulted the airline for neglecting passengers.

According to Hersi, the airline has what it take to solve the problems it has been experiencing in the recent past.

“I have engaged Jambojet on many occasions and I think the problems they face are not insurmountable. They can be dealt with,” said Hersi.

The airline, however, attributed the challenges to technical delays and promised to find a solution over the same.

“Additionally, the delivery of our newly leased aircraft initially scheduled for introduction during the peak season was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and will only be delivered early 2017,” read part of JamboJet’s statement.
