Police are searching for a house help who is suspected of killing a mother and her child in Muhoroni, Kisumu county.
The house help fled after allegedly stabbing the woman and her 3-month baby to death in Shauri Yako Village.
The bodies of 25 year old Elizabeth Ojwang' and her baby were discovered in a pool of blood inside the house on Thursday, according to a police report seen by Radio Ramogi.
Reports on Citizen Digital indicated that the neighbours forced their way into the house amid suspicions, as it had remained locked for too long.
After breaking in, they found the woman's body lying on the floor with a nylon rope around her neck.
The bodies were taken to the Kisumu County Hospital Mortuary for further inspection, with the reason behind the killing remaining unknown.
