A houseboy in a love affair with his employer allegedly chopped off her head and then escaped on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old man reportedly chopped off the woman’s head after a brawl between the two on Tuesday, December 6.
He reportedly brandished a panga and chopped off the 22-year-old woman’s head.
Mogoon Sub-Location Assistant Chief, Josiah Rono, said the deceased was another man’s wife and that the suspect worked as the deceased’s houseboy. They fell out the day before.
The chief said he received a phone call from a Nyumba Kumi Security Initiative member on Tuesday at 6pm informing him of the incident.
At the time of the incident, the woman’s husband who is a casual labourer was away.
Chief Rono said he found a bloody panga placed next to the deceased when he arrived at the crime scene.
The administrator ordered the arrest of the suspect who fled after learning that neighbours were baying for his blood.
Police in Ingobor village, Nakuru County arrested the man who is currently being held at Kaptembwo Police Station.
The mother of two’s body was taken to Nakuru Hospital mortuary.
