A man who escaped after allegedly chopping off a woman’s head has been arrested.
This followed a brawl between the man and his lover on Tuesday, December 6.
Police in Ingobor village, Nakuru County arrested the 23-year-old man who was in a love affair with the woman.
He reportedly brandished a panga and chopped off the 22-year-old woman’s head.
Mogoon Sub-Location Assistant Chief, Josiah Rono, said the deceased was another man’s wife.
Rono said the suspect who was working as the deceased’s houseboy fell out with the lover the day before.
The chief said he received a phone call from a Nyumba Kumi Security Initiative member on Tuesday at 6pm informing him of the incident.
At the time of the incident, the woman’s husband who is a casual labourer was away.
Chief Rono said he found a bloody panga placed next to the deceased when he arrived at the crime scene.
The administrator ordered the arrest of the suspect who fled after learning that neighbours were baying for his blood.
He is currently being held at Kaptembwo Police Station.
The woman was a mother of two and her body was taken to Nakuru Hospital mortuary.
