The houses, being constructed under the Civil Servants Housing Scheme are estimated to cost Sh33million and will be sold to civil servants through mortgage.

According to the sub-county housing secretary, Boniface Kibocha, the move is part of government’s efforts to facilitate government officers’ access decent housing as a motivation to increase service delivery.

“The construction of the 75 houses will have 25 one bedroomed house each which will be sold to civil servants through mortgage ones they are complete,” he said in his Kamwangi office on Thursday.

The houses will be completed by January 2017.
