The Sonko Rescue Team (SRT) clashed with Kenya Navy forces on Saturday during a recovery mission of the chopper that crashed into Lake Nakuru.
The dispute started over who should receive credit for recovering the wreckage.
Sources said SRT was not happy after the navy team took all the credit despite the fact that it is SRT who spotted the wreckage.
Sonko Rescue Team divers even refused to assist the navy in lifting the wreckage out of the waters until they were recognised.
They accused the navy of having reported early than usual to lift the wreckage without them and take all the credit.
“We have been coming here early in the morning before them but we are surprised to see today they want to take control of everything after we have discovered the wreckage," Musa Juma aid.
The two teams however decided to put aside their differences on Sunday and pulled out the wreckage in 10 minutes.
