[Photo: Courtesy]Residents in Bomet impressed Opposition's Nasa brigade, after it held its campaign rally, Saturday July 1.When he stood to address, deputy presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka was amazed with the presence of the attendants.Nasa pulled a mammoth of crowd from various corners of Bomet, an area perceived to be leaning towards the ruling Jubilee government, due to Deputy President William Ruto's relevance, in the vast Rift Valley region.Thousands of supporters filled Bomet Green Stadium to listen to the Nasa leadership, which was led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga, and hosted by area governor Isaac Ruto, the Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader, and fifth Nasa co-principal.The huge number of attendants impressed the Nasa principals, with Raila and Musalia Mudavadi, saying the 'Rift has Shifted', meaning the Rift Valley region had shifted from Jubilee to Nasa.With help of Isaac Ruto, Nasa has been making tours in Bomet, to swing residents from Jubilee, which is also continuing to popularise itself in the county, yo counter Nasa.Jubilee has groomed Sotik MP Joyce Laboso, to face Ruto in the August 8 elections.Analysts say Laboso will give Ruto a run for his money in the gubernatorial race, sentiments Ruto dismissed, saying he has the county support with him.The principals further urged Bomet residents and the larger Kipsigis community to come out in multitudes to vote for Nasa, same way they came out to attend the rally.
