The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission has embarked on a mission to gain the public trust after last year’s divisive presidential elections.
Commission’s Chair Wafula Chebukati said that the electoral agency will be going round the country as part of its post-election evaluation process.
Speaking during a tour of Nyandarua County, Chebukati stated that the audit will give a clear path on identifying the possible gaps in the conduct of elections.
He also mentioned that the commission is undertaking post-election evaluations to analyze what happened in last year’s elections as well as lessons learned.
He also requested Kenyans to give their views on the planned boundaries delimitation which will be conducted soon after the forthcoming national census.
