Damage to the liver results from particular smoking.  Smoking cigarettes have devastating consequences. Many people are only aware of the consequences of smoking on the lung and heart without knowing smoking can also impact the liver. Smoking cigarettes release nicotine into the bloodstream which is toxic in nature.

The report reveals that cigarettes have many chemicals which include N-Nitrosodiethylamine, Arsenic, and N-Nitrosopyrrolidine which are hazardous and carcinogenic.

Liver tumors

The ingredient, N-Nitrosodiethylamine found in cigarettes cause abnormal growth of liver cells. The tumors develop when cells in the body divide and grow at an excessive rate. On the same note, the ingredients quell some cells and form a growth known as a tumor.

Liver cancer

N-Nitrosopyrrolidine is proven to contribute to liver cancer. This particular ingredient promotes genetic mutations that lead to cancer. They usually disrupt genetic material, DNA by interfering with coping and distribution of base pairs of DNA into daughter cells. As a result, there will be a mutation which in turns, cause cancer.

On the other hand, arsenic also causes liver tumors and cancer. As mentioned earlier, the liver cells undergo uncontrolled proliferation hence forming the tumors.
