The recent political survey by Ipsos Synovate has been accused of having 'leading' questionnaires. The Ipsos lead surveyor, Tom Wolf came under strong criticism for doing a survey aimed at causing political tension in the country. In the survey, a majority of the correspondents wanted Cord leader, Raila Odinga to retire from politics. The question many Kenyans are asking now is if indeed the surveys by Ipsos are credible? When questions are raised concerning their findings, it means their methodology might be lacking the required steps aimed at achieving efficiency and effectiveness. Minority leader, Jakoyo Midiwo claimed that Ipsos has a hidden agenda against Raila.Ipsos had apparently sort feedback from 2000 Kenyans who acted as representatives of the whole country. However, with a country consisting of at least 10 million Kenyan voters, Ipsos failed when it only sort feedback from 2000 Kenyans. With the study area big, Ipsos should have increased its study population to maximise on the Kenyan population. Similarly, Ipsos failed when it only surveyed Raila when Cord has other leaders. The country also has 'old' leaders almost Raila's age. The survey against the Cord leader may have lost its meaning since there are other leaders who are Odinga's age but are rarely surveyed. The survey body should desist from giving leading questionnaires to Kenyans. Their topics of survey should also be free from any blame. This will help make Kenyans rely on their findings at the end of the research.
