The way he has handled the issue with members of parliament and Cabinet secretary for health is indeed exemplary and deals with the issue without touching on tribal emotions or political narratives.

On Thursday he called all MPs from the rift valley who were on the forefront with the impeachment motions and asked them to use achievable means of solving the issue.

He asked them that the government is focused on provision of affordable and quality healthcare to all Kenyans and any move by MPs that can jeopardise the process will be ill-advised and against the implementation of the big four agenda.

The legislators from the Rift Valley felt the action by the CS Sicily Kariuki on KNH CEO Lily Koros was unfair and it should have been treated as professional negligence and not managerial responsibility.

Kariuki on her part thinks the CEO is responsible for a number of issues including the cartels within the hospital. She blames the management for insignificant input in dealing with the issues.

The move by the deputy president puts to an end the political narrative being created on the issue and sooner than later the issue with KNH will be over.
