Although it was a private visit, a photo resurfaced online of Charles Keter, Wlliam Chepkut and Stephen Kiptenda at the home in unknown date where they reportedly secured an appointment.

A statement from Moi's home stated: "Deputy President William Ruto today visited the former president and had lunch together.

"Unfortunately, this coincided with the time Mzee was undergoing routine physical exercise with doctors," added the statement.

The DP is said to have arrived at the home on Thursday mid day and were kept waiting in the guest room where they were served lunch despite the official appointment.

But Tiaty MP William Kamket, a confidant of the Moi family, dismissed claims that the DP had official appointment further terming the visit 'trespass and criminal'.

A fortnight ago, opposition leader Raila Odinga was accorded a decent welcome in the home by a team led by Baringo senator Gideon Moi.

Both Moi junior and Ruto are embroiled in vicious succession battles ahead of 2022 and the DP is said to have planned to go and reconcile with the family.
